Lenz Terms of Service
Last updated 1 November 2026
In short: your footage stays yours. Only upload what you have the right to use. Lenz is in development, so keep your own copies of anything that matters. Publishing to YouTube also means following YouTube's terms.
Agreement
These terms are between you and Trisphere ("we", "us") and cover your use of Lenz at lenz.trisphere.org. By using Lenz you agree to them and to the Lenz Privacy Policy. If you use Lenz for a company or channel, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
Your account
Lenz accounts are given out by us during early access. Keep your password and upload tokens private; you're responsible for what happens under your account and its tokens. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access.
Your footage
You keep all rights to the videos you bring to Lenz and the clips made from them. You give us permission to store, copy, process and transmit them only as needed to run Lenz for you: to edit, reframe, caption and publish them where you ask. That permission ends when you delete them or your account, apart from backups that expire on the schedule in the privacy policy.
What you may upload
Only upload footage you own or have permission to use, including any music, people and other material in it. Don't use Lenz for anything illegal, to infringe anyone's rights, to upload malware, or to overload or break the service. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.
YouTube
Lenz uses YouTube API Services to publish your clips. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Videos published through Lenz are your uploads on your channel, and you're responsible for them there. You can revoke Lenz's access from your Google account permissions at any time.
A service in development
Lenz is in development and offered as is and as available. Features can change, and suggested clips, crops and captions can be wrong, so check before you publish. Keep your own copies of footage that matters: we back up the database, but not uploaded video files.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost footage, lost profits or lost views, and our total liability for anything relating to Lenz is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the previous 12 months. Lenz is free during early access. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.
Ending
You can stop using Lenz and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms, or end early access with reasonable notice so you can download your clips.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for meaningful changes we'll tell account holders by email before they take effect. Using Lenz after that means you accept the new terms.
